Former screenwriter Paul Levine took a very unusual path into publishing. From trial lawyer to screenwriter to  bestselling author, Levine has had one of the most diverse industry experiences of anyone writing today.
Do you have a summer reading list? Have any new titles caught your eye lately?

I finished Scott Turow’s, Innocent, and loved it. Coincidentally, tonight I was at a book event in downtown L.A. where he  was in conversation with Dustin Hoffman, who bought the film rights to Scott’s “Personal Injuries.”  No one writes courtroom scenes any better…or ever has.  I’m reading galleys of a stunning first novel, Saving Max, by Antoinette van Heugten.  A high-powered female lawyer puts her autistic and depressed son in a mental hospital that makes ‘Cuckoo’s Nest’ look like Club Med.  It’s one of those parent’s worst nightmare stories, and it’s terrific.  It will be out in September.
